Trixabella ( Cream Mitted Girl ) gave birth to five kittens on the 31st of January she came in to labour at about 4.30 p.m. had her first babie at just after 8p.m. and her last one at 10. p.m.
A very clean birth the bedding and babies were spotless by midnight.
We will still change the bedding in a couple of days when she leaves them for a break.

Trixabella having a treat of some Applaws Tuna and keeping her eyes on her kittens at the same time. On the right is a photo of her kittens now four days old. It appears they are all little boys.

Trixabellas kittens are coming on fine, you can just see their eyes starting to open today, by tomorrow they will all have opened their eyes. Trixabella on the right as ever watchful while we take the photo for this weeks update. They are eleven days old today.

Trixabella has decided to move her kittens out of the kittening box into a corner of the room, we put them back in to the kittening box, and Trixabella was having none of it and moved them back into the corner of the room. Of all our girls Trixabella is the only one that puts her kittens where she wants them and not where we think she should have them.......So she has won again.!!!!!!!!

Two of Trixabellas kittens have started exploring the kitten room, photos below show the two explorers and the other kittens still in the safety of the kitten box, Daizy Mai's kitten has now joined Trixabellas kittens and the Mums are sharing the duties. All the kittens have completed the first worming course.

All Trixabellas kittens now have the freedom of the kitten room and are much more active now the photo belows shows them coming in and out of the kittening box.We have three small litter trays in the room and two larger ones for the Mums, as yet the first poo has not arrrived. Today the have all started to nibble at the baby cat dried food and are lapping water in the shallow dishes..

They are now fully weaned and using the cat litter trays well, with the odd accident under the stands which does happen the first week once they start pooing.!!!!
Next week they will be wormed for the second time over a three days period with panacur worming paste. They are scampering all round the rooms and climbing up the cat bed stands.
The are being fed dry Royal Canin baby cat, Hills Kitten biscuits, and wet Applaws kitten food.

Now fully weaned and using the litter trays well ( No accidents this week) the photos below show Trixabellas five boys and Daisys Mai boy tucking into the Applaws canned chicken which we give twice a day, they have Royal Canin baby cat and Hills kitten biscuits down all the time.
They now think Hoover time is play time chasing the hoover nozzle as we try to clean up.
The picture on the right shows Daisy Mai's little boy in between two of the Red/cream boys.

  All six kittens shown here on the left, on the right is Daisy-mai's kitten, there is still one Red/cream boy available, Daisy Mai's kitten has been reserved.
Today they will be allowed out of the kitten room on to the landing and stairs, which gives them a chance to explore and have a good run about and play.
Trixabellas kittens will be 8 weeks old on Thursday, Daisy Mai's kitten is three days younger.
