With the help of our friends Pam and Howard of bare-essentials.eu, we are starting a small breeding programme for the Sphynx breed, they have already entrusted us with a lovely tortoiseshell girl, who we have called Mokey, ( Thomastar happinesszabrina )
Dad. Amaravati ridzin. ( Won four merits.) Mum. Firefantasy Cleo. Red tabby.
Brown Tabby.
Mokey joined us on the 11th of October, and is already getting on well with all the Raggies, photos shown below shows Moko having a play before going to bed, she wears a coat at bedtime.
We have always been drawn to the Sphynx when we have attended cat shows, and have decided we would like to run a small breeding programme along side our ragdolls, both Cats are mainly indoor cats.
These cats have magically been produced by mother nature, and are the foundation for this unusual breed. Cat breeders in Europe and North America have bred the Sphynx to normal coated cats and then back to hairless cats for over thirty years. The reason for these selective breedings was to create a genetically sound cat with a large gene pool and hybrid vigour. This is a very robust breed with few health or genetic problems.
The Sphynx are extremely inquisitive and love to be the centre of attention. They perform silly antics for your entertainment and are sometimes downright clumsy....on purpose it seems
They make good show cats because of this "Look at me " attitude and they are easy for the judges to handle. They prefer human attention, but enjoy the company of dogs and other cats.
They have abundance of energy and mischief and are always with you, or showing off for you.
"Love Mooch" is the perfect expression for these amazing cats.
Some people who suffer from cat allergies can tolerate living with a sphynx cat, but that would depend on the severity of the indivdual 's allergic reaction.
Suitable for most households, but could suffer from depression whereowners are not present for most of the day.

A couple of photos of Mokey who is becoming a real little poser, our Raggies can not work out if she is a cat or not, but they love playing with her and playing chasing games.

Mokey loves her life with the Raggies, being an hairless cat, there is nothing nicer for her than to find someone like Izzy Blue to snuggle up to.

Every time I go on the computor Chamoix (Adsetsh Gypsy-Rose) a red tabby & white girl always jumps up to sit on my shoulders and watch what I am doing, all our other cats are quite happy to sit next to me and just watch. Anything important to do I have to make sure she is not in the room.

Two photos of Chamoix and Mokey at bedtime sometimes they sleep together, and other times they find a nice warm Raggie to sleep with.
